Commission-Free Booking Platform for Thyme & Table Restaurant Group
A four-location Edinburgh restaurant group was paying £900/month to a third-party booking platform and losing their customer relationships in the process. We built a commission-free custom booking system, paying for itself in month one.
The challenge
Thyme & Table was using a popular reservation platform that charged per cover on top of a monthly fee, totalling £900/month. The platform owned the customer data, so the restaurant couldn't run loyalty promotions or follow up after visits. No-show rates sat at 18% with no way to take deposits.
Our solution
We built a custom booking platform where guests reserve a table across any of the 4 locations, selecting time, party size, and dietary requirements. The system takes optional deposits via Stripe to reduce no-shows, sends automated confirmation and reminder emails, and captures every customer's details into the restaurant's own CRM. Managers can view occupancy, manage walk-ins, and block dates from the back office.
