Job Management Dashboard That Scaled SunPath Solar to 3x Projects

A small Texas solar installation company was running 4–5 simultaneous jobs using WhatsApp and spreadsheets, losing track of permits, technician schedules, and invoices. We built a connected job management dashboard that let them scale to 15 jobs at once.

Overview

The challenge

SunPath's operations manager was coordinating field technicians via WhatsApp group chats, tracking permit applications in a shared Google Sheet, and invoicing in QuickBooks separately. When a permit was delayed, nobody knew until a technician showed up on site. They were capped at 5 jobs at a time purely because of operational chaos.

Our solution

We built a centralised job dashboard integrating their CRM, QuickBooks, Google Maps (for technician routing), and a custom permit tracking module. Each job has a timeline showing permit status, assigned technician, equipment delivery, and invoice stage. Field technicians update job status from their phone. The operations manager gets automatic alerts when a job is at risk of delay.
